Laura Drewry

Laura Drewry

Born the youngest of four girls, Laura discovered the joy of reading early on. From "Dick and Jane" to her Little House books and on through her fascination with Stephen King and Julie Garwood, she read anything and everything until it became inevitable that she would write her own stories. 2005 produced her first published romance novel, a historical western, Here Comes the Bride, with her next book, Charming Jo, set for release in September, 2006.

Laura lives in Yellowknife - the diamond capital of North America - with her husband, three children, two chocolate labs and various other creatures purchased during weak moments at the pet store.  You can find her on the web at www.lauradrewry.com.

GIVING THE DEVIL HIS DUDE

Shoveling sulfur and brimstone could really get a girl down. When her dad offered freedom from the fiery depths in exchange for one simple soul-snatching, Lucy Firr jumped at the chance. With her considerable powers of seduction, she threw herself at rancher Jed Caine. Yet instead of taking her to bed, he made her muck out the pigsty.

It would take the patience of a saint to resist the likes of Lucy Firr—and Lord knew Jed was no saint. The temptress fired his blood like no woman he'd ever met. Why she'd suddenly latched on to him, he had no idea. But the safest place for her—and her virtue—was out in the barn.

Lucy could see the heat in Jed's gaze. But it was the tenderness of his touch and his hard-won smile that undid her. She was supposed to steal his soul, yet here he was...capturing her heart.

So far, Jo McCaine's run her Kansas ranch just fine by herself. Or so she always thought. But now she needs help—a man with a strong back and the will to work. And if she has to hire the devil himself, she will. The trouble is, she just may have found him. Levi Travers is sexier than sin, with a dazzling smile and a hello-little-lady look in his eyes that spells trouble. Big trouble. But she has no choice...

Levi Travers would much rather spend his time with the lovely ladies of the night at the local saloon. No man in his right mind wants to be bossed around by a headstrong cowgirl in dirty jeans. But Jo is irresistible, especially when she's ordering him around. Just the kind of challenge he likes. Levi has a few ideas on how to charm her right out of those muddy boots—and into his great big bed...
