RWAGVC PANEL AT VANCOUVER PUBLIC LIBRARY
February 8, 2012
7:00 p.m.

Panel:
Kate Austin
Eileen Cook
R.G. Hart
Susan Lyons/Fox
Lee McKenzie

The world of publishing is changing. From the growth of ebooks/digital publishing to competing for a reader’s attention with Twitter and Facebook, today's writers are working harder than ever to stay current in the changing publishing landscape.

Five published authors dish on the industry, how they were published, how romance is changing, and pretty much anything else you'd like to know.

They represent sexy and sweet contemporary romance, young adult fiction, romantic suspense, and paranormal fiction. They are published in print and electronic formats by publishers including Harlequin, Berkley/Penguin, Simon and Schuster, Kensington, Wild Rose Press and Sapphire Blue Publishing.

This presentation is designed for readers and writers and those who like discussing books.

INTERNATIONAL 3-DAY NOVEL CONTEST

Labour Day Weekend 2012
Any Location

This contest takes place every Labour Day long weekend. The event began as a joke, became a dare, and has now become a literary institution. It has spawned what is probably the only genuinely Canadian genre in world literary history and has gone on to garner international attention and a reputation as the cheeky and uncompromising rebel of literary forms. The contest now attracts over 500 daring writers from around the world, and Blue Lake Books invites writers everywhere to join in celebrating this uniquely Canadian contribution to world literary history.
