Come and learn how these three GVC authors research
and write their books. The speakers are Eileen

Labour Day Weekend 2008
Any Location
This contest takes place every Labour Day long
weekend. The event began as a joke, became a dare,
and has now become a literary institution. It
has spawned what is probably the only genuinely
Canadian genre in world literary history and has
gone on to garner international attention and
a reputation as the cheeky and uncompromising
rebel of literary forms. The contest now attracts
over 500 daring writers from around the world,
and Blue Lake Books invites writers everywhere
to join in celebrating this uniquely Canadian
contribution to world literary history.
