Meetings
Our monthly meetings are both fun and informative.
At each meeting, we discuss chapter business,
share writing news (both good and bad), hold a
potluck brunch, and have a guest speaker present
a writing-related topic. We also bring in used
books that fellow members can buy (just 10 cents
each) and hold a loony bin draw ($1 for a chance
to win an item donated by a fellow member). All
money raised from the loony bin and the sale of
used books goes towards GVC's operating costs.
Prospective members of GVC are welcome to attend
one or two meetings for free while deciding whether
to join the group. (And we sure hope you'll join!)
Don't be shy—we promise to make newbies
feel welcome.
WHERE?
We have a wonderful meeting place: Ebenezer Baptist
Church at 53rd and Fraser in Vancouver. Meetings
are held in the Education Centre at the back of
the church on 53rd. There is plenty of parking
off both 53rd and 52nd. Any meetings or special
events held anywhere other than our regular meeting
space are indicated below.
WHEN?
Unless indicated otherwise below, doors open
for set-up at 10:30 a.m. and meetings begin at
11:00 a.m. More information about speakers will
be added as it becomes available.
