Our members range from beginning writers to published authors. Some of our members have published more than 25 romance novels!

Membership in GVC is $35 annually, and members must also belong to RWA® International. Benefits of membership in GVC include:

monthly meetings featuring a variety of guest speakers
access to our extensive library of tapes, videos, and books about writing
subscription to our newsletter, Spotlight
participation in our critique clearinghouse
regular Cheeks to Chair writing challenges
participation in Romance 101 before each meeting

OUR AWARDS

Every year at our Valentine's brunch we honour our members for their important achievements over the previous year.

First Step Award - presented to those who have taken that important (and scary!) first step of sending a query or partial or manuscript to an editor or agent

Stepping Stone Award - presented to unpublished authors who have taken further steps on the arduous road to publication

Milestone Award - presented to published authors who have reached major milestones in their writing careers

First Sale Award - presented to a member who has sold a first novel-length romance

VOYA - presented to the volunteer of the year

Caro Award - presented for long-time service to GVC

Volunteer Awards - presented for service to GVC
