AWARDS

If you would like to receive recognition for one or more of the Awards listed below, please fill in the information on the Valentine's Lunch Registration Form.

FIRST STEP AWARD:
A member who has completed a romantic novel or novella and submitted it to a publisher or
agent for the first time is awarded a First Step Award.

STEPPING STONE AWARD:
Examples of stepping stones might include obtaining an agent, finalling in or winning a writing
contest, or selling a non-romantic novel, a non-fiction book, a screenplay or play, short stories, or
articles.

MILESTONE AWARD:
Examples of milestones might include winning a major prize, being picked up by a major book
club, making a major bestseller list, selling the 5th, 10th or 25th book, being inducted into the national
RWA Hall of Fame, or finalling in or winning the RITA contest.
