Hollywood Story and Script Consultant

Michael Hauge

“...one of the few authentically good teachers out there. Every time I revisit my notes,
I learn something new  or reinforce something I needed to remember.”

—Jeff Arch, Screenwriter: Sleepless In Seattle; Iron Will; Sealed with a Kiss

Story Mastery

During this all-day seminar, Hollywood story and script consultant Michael Hauge, best-selling author of Writing Screenplays That Sell and Selling Your Story in 60 Seconds: The Guaranteed Way to Get Your Screenplay or Novel Read, presents his unique approach to creating compelling fiction and to eliciting emotion in your readers. Using clips from recent blockbuster love stories and romantic comedies, Michael helps you strengthen your story concepts, plot structure, love stories, character development and themes. Topics include:

·         The primary goal of all stories

·         The power of desire, need, longing and destiny

·         The essential conflict all characters must face

·         Turning plot structure from a complicated concept into a simple, powerful tool you can easily apply to every story

·         The single key to creating character arc and theme

·         Creating unique, believable and fulfilling love stories

·         The unique rules of romantic comedy: fantasy, duality, deceit

·         Adapting a novel to film

Whatever your level of experience or target audience, this seminar is a must if you want to elevate your fiction writing to the highest possible level.

“The only screenwriting instructor out there who might be truly wasting his time – because he should be writing screenplays instead. Higher praise I cannot give.”

—Terry Rossio, Screenwriter (with Ted Elliott): Pirates of the Caribbean 1, 2 & 3; Shrek; Alladin; The Mask of Zorro; (with Bill Marsilii): Deja Vu
